LDA | Lie Detection Australia
ABOUT US
At Lie Detection Australia (LDA), we understand that people contact us during some of the most difficult and uncertain moments of their lives. Questions of trust, allegations, relationship breakdowns, workplace concerns, theft, fraud, misconduct, reputational damage, and unresolved disputes can create enormous stress for individuals, families, and organisations.
Our role is simple: to provide a professional, confidential, respectful, and judgment-free pathway toward clarity.
We believe every client deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of the issue they bring to us. Whether someone is seeking peace of mind in a personal matter, truth verification in a business environment, or support during a complex dispute, our commitment is to deliver a service built on discretion, ethics, and professionalism.
OUR VISION
Our vision at LDA is to offer professional and confidential lie detection services using advanced and accurate technology, helping clients gain peace of mind, confidence, and the ability to move forward with their lives.
Truth matters. But how truth is handled matters just as much.
That is why we focus not only on technology, but also on empathy, communication, and privacy.
We know many clients arrive feeling anxious, embarrassed, emotionally drained, or uncertain. Our team approaches every matter with understanding and compassion.
LEADERSHIP BUILT ON REAL INVESTIGATIVE EXPERIENCE
LDA is led by Nick Buenen, Director and Examiner, whose background brings more than two decades of frontline investigative, security, and governance experience to the business.
Nick has over twenty-six years’ experience across policing, prosecution, investigations, and law enforcement. He has also worked in international security environments, critical incident management, major events, emergency management, stakeholder liaison, humanitarian assistance, and complex operational planning.
This experience matters because truth verification is rarely just about asking questions. It requires:
• Strong judgment
• Calm professionalism under pressure
• Understanding human behaviour
• Sensitivity around conflict and trauma
• Procedural discipline
• Respect for confidentiality
• Clear communication with distressed clients
Nick’s experience extends into governance, risk, and compliance roles, including work connected with Australian Government contracts and sensitive operational environments overseas. These responsibilities require integrity, discretion, accountability, and strict adherence to standards.
That same mindset is brought into every client engagement at LDA.
ETHICS, PRIVACY, AND TRUST
At Lie Detection Australia, confidentiality is not a marketing phrase—it is a core operating principle.
Many of our clients contact us about deeply personal issues: suspected infidelity, false allegations, family disputes, workplace theft, employee concerns, or reputational harm. Others are businesses needing discreet integrity screening or issue-based assessments.
We understand the courage it takes to ask for help in these situations.
That is why every matter is approached with:
• Privacy and discretion
• Respect for all parties
• Secure handling of information
• Neutral and professional processes
• No judgment about personal circumstances
• Ethical communication before, during, and after testing
Our aim is never to inflame conflict. Our aim is to provide clarity in a measured, professional, and responsible way.
